The Utorogu Project is Southfield Petroleum Limited’s Flagship Project. Southfield Petroleum executed a Gas Processing Agreement with Nigerian Petroleum Development Company Limited & ND Western Limited (Jointly) for the processing of 300MMScfd for the Utorogu Gas Field, OML 34. OML 34 is of utmost strategic importance to Nigeria and the West African sub-region, as a major supplier of gas for electricity generation in Nigeria. It also feeds gas through the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) to neighboring countries.
Southfield Petroleum Limited has executed a $158Million Equipment Procurement Contract with China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) for the construction of a 250MMscfd gas processing facility, a 20MW Captive Power Plant, a Private Jetty, a 10,000MT LPG Storage facility, an amine unit and all site facilities and infrastructure.
The project will produce 200,000MT of LPG and 120,000MT of Condensate per annum. This project will directly employ 1,000 Nigerians during the construction period and 500 Direct staff afterwards.
